The 7th Street.The 7th Street crosses the entire city of Bogotá, transforming itself continuously during its route of more than thirty kilometers. This place, witness of the most important events that have transformed the city and the country, is struggling nowadays to survive in the midst of chaos and oblivion, becoming the only world of those who cross it: the good and the bad , the rich and the poor, those who still dream and those who long ago lost their illusions. In this work, dignity and deterioration are not opposed, but accompanied. In the midst of distress and ruin curiosity and illusion shine. The 7th Street could well also be the mirror of an entire country.
La séptima. La Carrera Séptima atraviesa toda la ciudad de Bogotá transformándose continuamente durante su recorrido de más de treinta kilómetros. Este lugar, testigo de los mas importantes acontecimientos que han transformado a la ciudad y al país, hoy en día puja por sobrevivir en medio del caos y el olvido, convirtiéndose en el único mundo de los que allí se cruzan: los buenos y los malos, los ricos y los pobres, los estudiados y los que no aprendieron a leer, los que siguen soñando y los que hace rato perdieron las ilusiones. En este trabajo fotográfico la dignidad y el deterioro no se contraponen sino que se acompañan. En medio de la desazón y la ruina brillan la curiosidad y la ilusión. La Carrera Séptima bien podría ser también el espejo de todo un país.
